At Our Lady of Grace Preschool and Kindergarten, our mission is simple, yet profound: to educate the mind, to nurture the spirit, and to shape the heart.
We believe every child is a gift from God, filled with potential, wonder, and dignity. Our purpose is to help that gift unfold, guiding children to grow not only in knowledge, but also in faith, kindness, creativity, and joy. When families entrust their little ones to us, they become part of something larger: a community of love and learning, beloved and cherished since 1962.
Our mission comes to life in ways that children and families experience from the very first day:
Educating the Mind
We open young minds to a world of discovery. Through early literacy, math, science, languages and social studies, children build a strong academic foundation. Just as important, they explore through art, music, drama, pretend play, hands-on projects, and storytelling, learning to think, to create, and to problem-solve. Curiosity is encouraged, questions are celebrated, and learning is joyful.
Nurturing the Spirit
We help children come to know God’s love in gentle, meaningful ways. Daily prayer, chapel visits, and lessons in virtue weave faith naturally into the rhythm of each day. The Sisters’ presence makes faith tangible. Children learn to see Christ in themselves, in their friends, and in the world around them. Our classrooms are places where faith is lived, not just taught, and where children discover that they are deeply loved by God.
Shaping the Heart
We believe character matters as much as academics. Children are guided to practice kindness, empathy, respect, and compassion. They learn to share, to cooperate, to celebrate differences, and to serve others. Every moment becomes a chance to live out the Gospel, whether comforting a friend, caring for creation, or offering a prayer of thanks.
The Sisters, Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary bring their charism, their special gift and calling, to everything we do. Their mission is to make the love of the Sacred Hearts visible in the world through service, education, and presence. That charism is the lifeblood of Our Lady of Grace. It fills our classrooms with peace, joy, and warmth that children instinctively recognize.
Families often say that when they step into Our Lady of Grace, it feels like stepping into a second home, a place where their children are cherished, celebrated, and guided with love.
Since the day our doors opened in 1962, this mission has never wavered. Generations of children have been shaped here, not just prepared for the next grade, but prepared for life. Our graduates carry with them confidence in their minds, strength in their faith, and compassion in their hearts. They become learners, leaders, and people of love.
At Our Lady of Grace, mission and charism are not abstract ideals. They are what your child experiences each day in the classroom, on the playground, in chapel, and in every moment of discovery. It is the gift we have been blessed to offer families for more than sixty years, and the gift we continue to joyfully share with every new child who walks through our doors.
At Our Lady of Grace, we are called to educate the mind, the spirit, and the heart.
